Canon upgrades M50 mirrorless camera as better vlogging device

New Delhi : Canon had launched its mirrorless M50 camera back in 2018 and since then it has been a preferred choice for people who like to click pictures and shoot videos from just one camera. Now, the company has upgraded the shooter with some new features to enhance the overall experience.

Canon EOS M50 Mark II mirrorless camera has been launched in India at a price tag of Rs 58,995, a little more than its predecessor. Most of its features have been pulled out from the earlier Canon M50 and some have been enhanced to make it a better device.

Going by the demand of the market, the company has introduced a vertical shooting mode that comes handy for making videos for platforms like Instagram. Canon EOS M50 Mark II is particularly aimed at Digital content creators and this is one of the reasons that the camera now supports YouTube Livestream. The company has also added one-tap feature on LCD to start or stop recording that helps while shooting a vlog.

When we speak of vlogging, the camera has been designed to keep you in focus always with a better Auto-focus with eye detection. It has been improved in a way that the subject remains in focus even if it is at a distance from the camera. The eye-detection AF is available with both – Servo AF when shooting still images and Movie Servo AF when shooting video.

Canon EOS M50 Mark II features a 24.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 8 image processor which are similar to the camera’s predecessor. There’s an ISO scale of 100-25600 which is expandable up to 51200 in the latest Canon camera.

The only downside of the camera remains with the fact that it has been designed to only record 4K videos at 25 fps, which means that you will not be able to play around much with the 4K video, which can be done in most of the camera cheaper than this.

While the price of the new shooter has been announced, people will be able to grab their hands on this one only in December onwards.
