Five cars to launch in India during upcoming festive season

New Delhi : Every year festive season brings amazing discounts and benefits for buyers of almost all segments of the market and with coronavirus pandemic ruining majority of the year, carmakers are trying to cash in the opportunity of regaining the loss with new launches during this time.

Since the unlock began in the nation, several new versions of the cars have already been launched and still, there are many options which are coming in almost all price brackets. Here are five cars which will be launched in coming days:

# Hyundai Elite i20

For Hyundai, i20 has always been the car that brings hatchback buyers to the company, mainly because of its sharp looks and features at a very competitive price. And to keep up the magic, the company is all set to launch the facelift version of the car in the Indian market. The company had unveiled the third generation of Elite i20 globally in February this year and it is expected that the car will be ready for Indian consumers by this festive season.

# Maruti Suzuki Swift

In India, Swift has remained the hatchback king and Maruti Suzuki will be making it even better with a new version of the car. However, it has been learned that not much will be changed in terms of the design, the major update will be in the engine that is K12. The new version is believed to be much peppier and fun to drive car.

The new swift is likely to be launched in the market next month.

# Tata Altroz Turbo variant

Tata Altroz was launched earlier this year and it received mixed reviews from the buyers, many of whom complained of feeling the car to be underpowered in comparison to its competitions. The company has taken note of the review and will be launching a turbo-powered petrol engine in the car this festive season. The new Altroz is likely to be powered with a 1,109cc Revotron three-cylinder engine. This new engine is expected to churn out 108 PS of power at 5,500 rpm and 140 Nm of peak torque.

# Audi Q2

Luxury carmakers are also trying to get their hold in the Indian market by introducing cheaper options to the buyers. Audi will be launching Q2 to fetch first-time luxury car buyers with the new vehicle. The new car is already available for pre-booking at an amount of ₹2 lakh. The SUV will be powered by a 2-litre petrol engine that comes with a ‘Quattro’ technology. The new car will get a four-wheel-drive system for better control in different terrains.

# BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe

BMW 2 Series is one of the cheapest offerings from the company in the Indian market. The 2 Series Gran Coupe will be using the same platform as the BMW X1. The car has been available globally in both petrol and diesel powertrains but the Indian buyer may just get an option to buy the diesel variant with a 2.0-litre engine.
